The World Cup 2018 opening ceremony will take place on the same of the first match. It is to be held on 14 June 2018 at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow. Like every edition, the opening ceremony will take place just before the first match between Saudi Arabia vs Russia.

The FIFA World Cup 2018 opening ceremony will start at 4 pm local, 6:30 PM IST and 2 pm UK time. The show will start two hours before the game between hosts Russia and Saudi Arabia starts.

Will Smith and Nicky Jam are set to perform on the official song “Live It Up”. The Global music icon Robbie Williams and Russian operatic soprano Aida Garifullina will perform at the World Cup opening ceremony. Opera singer Placido Domingo will perform while tenor Juan Diego Florez is also set to take the stage at the vent. Both singers have confirmed their attendance and will perform both inside the stadium and in Red Square.

Artists who will perform at the opening ceremony include Yusif Eivazov, Ildar Abdrazakov, Aida Garifullina, Albina Shagimuratova, Denis Matsuev and Anna Netrebko.

The event will witness 500 artists, dancers, gymnasts and trampolinists and after that, some of the big international will give their performances and Russian culture will be showcased at the event. The event will end with amazing fireworks.
