IPL 2018 Points Table, Standings, IPL 11 Team Rankings, Results

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 season is all set to start on April 7 with defending champions Mumbai Indians takes on Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede Stadium. Every team playing in the T20 league will aim to top the IPL 2018 points table but only top four teams will qualify for the playoffs among eights teams – Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Rajasthan Royals (RR), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Delhi Daredevils (DD), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Mumbai Indians (MI).

A total of 60 matches will be played in the IPL 2018 at nine different cities across 51 days and each team will play total 14 matches in home and away format. Out of the top four teams who advance to the playoffs, the top two teams will play the Qualifier 1 while the 3rd and 4th placed team on the IPL 2018 points table will play the Eliminator. The winner of Eliminator will play against the loser of Qualifier 1 in the Qualifier 2. The winner of Qualifier 2 will face the Qualifier winner in the IPL 2018 final.

Mumbai Indians (MI) are the defending champions of the season who defeated RPS in the final last season.

IPL 2018 Team Rankings System

The winning team of each match will be awarded two points while there is no point for a loss.

If the match is tied then the winner will be decided by Super Over while In case of a No Result or drawn due to any reason then points will be divided among both the teams.
